An incredibly interesting book. 55 very personal stories of adoption The joys of adoption but certainly not ignoring the challenges sometimes faced. The book concludes an excellent summarising chapter written by Dipika Maharaj Singh.
This book and its stories often resonate with my experience of adoption and the angst of the teen years for my kids. ‘born from the heart’ is indeed a true statement about adoptive parents and their kids. To all those special families who have shared their stories, a big thanks. It is helpful in having some of the conversations that are needed. For those families seeking to adopt, this is another resource that shares a balanced view of the great joys and also the great challenges that are part of the adoption journey and it’s special quirks.
